Man Found Dead Near North Memorial Health Hospital
The Robbinsdale Police Department assisted the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office after a man was found dead in a vehicle parked near North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale. The incident happened Thursday at around 9:45 p.m.
Robbinsdale police are not handling this investigation because the Minneapolis Police Department determined that the shooting had occurred in Minneapolis and that agency is currently investigating it.
Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder sent out a press release stating that Hennepin County deputies found the man in a vehicle near the hospital parking ramp with a gunshot wound. The press release also says they don’t know where the shooting occurred, but several shots were fired earlier that night in Minneapolis, and that’s why the agency believes the incident happened in Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the victim.
