Man Arrested in Suspected Brooklyn Park House Arson
After a home was damaged by fire on May 9, Brooklyn Park police arrested a man on suspicion of arson.
According to law enforcement officials, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department was dispatched at 3:48 p.m. to a report of a residential fire in the 6400 block of Georgia Avenue North.
Arriving firefighters found that the garage, which is attached to a single-family home, was on fire. The flames had begun to spread to the home’s living space.
Brooklyn Park firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it destroyed the majority of the living space. They received assistance from the West Metro Fire-Rescue District and the Osseo Fire Department.
Brooklyn Park Fire Marshal Dan Krier said the investigation into what started the fire remains ongoing.
No one was injured during the incident.
