Luce Line Brewing, Chinese Heritage Foundation Celebrate New Year
Luce Line Brewing is partnering with the Chinese Heritage Foundation to host a community celebration in honor of the Chinese New Year.
The family friendly event will be from 1-5 p.m. this Saturday at the Plymouth brewery, located at 12901 16th Ave. N.
Attendees can cook dim sum, create calligraphy, and watch karate demonstrations or a traditional lion dance.
“What I’ve always found is if you can find somebody that’s really passionate about something and share what they’re passionate about, it’s a blast and that’s what this day is — it’s all about Chinese culture,” said Tim Naumann, owner of Luce Line Brewing. “It’s all about learning about the lunar cycle and drinking great beer and having a lot of fun.”
Luce Line Brewery will be serving a rice lager specially brewed for the event.
“We are just trying to honor the Asian culture culture and do out best,” said Luce Line assistant brewer Dane Erickson. “Basically, just trying to involve everyone. Like I said before, beer is just such a community thing.”
A Chinese food truck will offer food at the event.
