LRT Branding Campaign Wants to Distinguish Blue Line Extension
The Blue Line Extension is stuck on the tracks, but the branding of the corridor is going forward. The goal is to give outsiders a glimpse of what’s good in the area.
“What we’re looking for is kind of developing that broader narrative of what it is that makes this place so special,” explained Hennepin County Communication Specialist Kyle Mianulli. “So, we’re looking for kind of general input, big ideas.”
Wednesday evening, residents and officials from Crystal, Golden Valley, Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Park gathered at the Crystal Community Center to talk about what they love about where they live and work. Some highlights included safe spaces, walk-friendly areas, and diversity. Those comments will influence the Blue Line brand development moving forward.
“It’s the one way the communities can turn themselves into an area on a map, into a destination. So when businesses are looking to open up a new branch or families are looking to buy a new home, we want this place to be at the top of their mind,” said Mianulli.
In the future, residents will be able to give Blue Line input online.
