LoveWorks Academy Observes Black History Month
On Thursday LoveWorks Academy in Golden Valley celebrated Black History Month.
Students and their families gathered in the gym to dance, sing and play instruments. Students also had a short skit on the Rosa Parks story.
“Just getting students into that joy of what got us through certain tough times in the past and getting enough connections to modern day,” explained LoveWorks Academy executive director, Arthur Turner, III.
LoveWorks Academy is the only elementary and middle school performing arts school in Golden Valley.
