Local Tourism Group Shows Off NW Metro
A local tourism group spent Wednesday showcasing what the northwest suburbs have to offer. Minneapolis Northwest invited event planners from all over the country. They took the planners to several local destinations like Mississippi Gardens, in hopes of them booking their events at venues in the northwest metro. Bringing large events to the northwest metro has the potential to bring thousands of dollars in economic growth.
Good for the Economy
“Any one event could bring in a huge economic impact,” says Megan Diaz with Minneapolis Northwest. “That impact could be of anywhere from 15-thousand dollars to I know one person here has an event that would have an economic impact of 350-thousand dollars.”
The group showed out-of-towners attractions like Topgolf in Brooklyn Center as well. For more information on venues and sights visit Minneapolis Northwest’s website.
