Local Police Collect Coats for People in Need
Local police departments are collecting winter gear just in time for the cold. New Hope, Robbinsdale, and Crystal are collecting new or gently used winter coats. The police departments are in a friendly competition to see who can receive the most coats before a December 6th deadline.
“It’s something that you definitely need if you live in our state is something to keep you warm,” said New Hope Officer Nichole Korth. “With our agencies, the more coats we all collect, the better it is for our community.”
New Hope Police say they could use more children’s coats. So far, they’ve collected many adult coats.
All the coats collected will go to the Salvation Army.
