Little Wild Camp Introduces Hockey to Young Skaters
Hockey can be intimidating, but the Little Wild Camp is trying to change that.
Around 75 skaters got on the ice at the Plymouth Ice Arena to try out hockey in Little Wild Camp. The skaters ranged in age from five to eight years old.
The Wayzata Youth Hockey Association, Minnesota Hockey and the Minnesota Wild work together to offer the experience to families.
“They learn to skate and just get out there and enjoy hockey,” said Jason Vinar, president of the Wayzata Youth Hockey Association. “A lot of these families are new to hockey altogether, so it’s a great way for them to enjoy the sport and get introduced to it.”
The Little Wild Camp goes on for a few weeks this fall. To learn more, click here.
