Len Busch Roses Deliver Hundreds of Flowers to Seniors
A Plymouth business is bringing a touch of spring to the front doors of local seniors.
Len Busch Roses employees have delivered hundreds of flowers like tulips to seniors across the metro.
“To spread smiles and give them hope of Spring and hope that this will be over and they’re not alone. We want to get something into their hands that could brighten their day and give them something to smile about,” said Georgia Edington, who works at Len Busch Roses.
To maintain safety, employees will drop the flowers with the senior resident coordinator who then brings the flowers to the appropriate people.
“I have delivered about 500 tulip stems in the last 4 days and I have another 200 I’m delivering Thursday afternoon,” said Edington.
About 8 employees along with their friends and family help deliver the plants. Employees are not getting paid to do this act of kindness.
Edington explained that because Len Busch is considered agricultural, they are able to stay open and care for the crops and continue to get the flowers and plants to customers who are still able to keep their doors open.
