Klevorn Promotes Hands-Free Law at Music In Plymouth
Rep. Ginny Klevorn, DFL-Plymouth, passed out literature and stickers about the new hands-free law that will go into effect Aug. 1. She greeted people waiting on the music and talked to them about the law.
“Already in Minnesota, we have lost too many lives because people are texting and driving,” said Klevorn. “They are trying to conduct business when they should be focused on the road. It’s really a matter of public safety.”
Under the hands-free law, it will be illegal to hold your phone in your hand while driving, unless you are calling 911. You can still use your phone using voice commands and GPS. To learn more about the law, click here.
