Kimberly Lane Teachers Come to Rescue, Push Bus
Teachers from Kimberly Lane Elementary School in Plymouth came to the rescue after a school bus broke down in front of their building last Friday.
Students cheered on teachers as they pushed the bus down the fire lane and over a curb so other buses behind it could go.
The bus had some engine problems and couldn’t start.
At one point, 20 adults helped push the bus. But to their surprise, three people could get the job done.
“People were laughing and shaking their heads, kind of like ‘I can’t believe I just did that’, because we had just done seven mini-coyote dashes so we were all pretty tired from yelling and running. To have this great workout, moving the bus, made it really special at the end of the day” said Kari Wehrmann, Kimberly Lane Elementary Principal.
The principal said the bus company sent a mechanic who fixed the problem and got it running again.
