K9 Training Takes Place in Osseo
The city of Osseo owns a home on 4th Street. This week the house served as a place to train future police dogs.
Several law enforcement agencies in Minnesota and Wisconsin are using the Osseo facility this week to train police K9s.
“It’s important that we use different locations constantly to change the picture for the animal to make sure they actually know what we’re training them for,” said K9 handler Reggie Larson.
On Monday, the animals learned how to search buildings and detect narcotics.
K9 training typically lasts 12 weeks.
