Hwy. 10, I-94 Construction Could Cause Local Backups
Highway 10 Project Impacts Brooklyn Park
An ongoing project on Highway 10 in Anoka will cause lane closures and detours that could impact drivers coming through Brooklyn Park.
Road closures on the project started in March and are expected through the fall. The main part of this project is on Highway 10 through Anoka. The project will last two years and is expected to improve traffic flow, decrease traffic delays and increase safety. You can keep up with the project here.
“It’s hard to predict but if we have a nice weekend, we may have quite a bit of extra traffic. We are detouring using Highway 610 which goes through Brooklyn Park, Interstate 94 and Highway 101 or the reverse depending upon which way you are traveling,” said Kent Barnard, MnDOT spokesperson.
Update on I-94 Construction Project Through Maple Grove
The Interstate 94 project from Maple Grove to Clearwater could also cause delays and backups into Maple Grove this summer. Lane closures started on that project in mid-April.
The project involves adding travel lanes, rebuilding bridges, construction access lanes and more. It’s expected to be completed in mid-August. You can keep up with the project here.
