Honey and Mackie’s Ice Cream Offered at Plymouth on Parade
You can’t have a festival without food. This year the city added more vendors, so, peole will have more options to choose from including, delicious cold treats from the first-time vendor, Honey and Mackie’s.
Ice cream making starts early in the morning here at the Plymouth business. The owner, Suzanne Varecka, makes all of her ice cream in-house with natural ingredients. She’s been in business for about six and a half years.
In the summer, workers churn up between 200 to 300 gallons of ice cream per day. There are 26 flavors to choose from including three dairy-free sorbets. Many people say it’s hard to pick a favorite flavor.
“They have very creative flavors and delicious ice cream. The people are very nice, and they give generous portions,” said customer Ashley Bennett.
During the parade, the Honey and Mackie’s ice cream cart will be loaded up with some of the store’s most popular flavors. Varecka says they plan to bring cookies and cream, cookie dough, salted caramel, and strawberry.
