High-Speed Chase Winds Through Maple Grove, Plymouth
A high-speed chase in Maple Grove and Plymouth actually started in Rogers.
The chase started in Rogers on Wednesday night and involved a car fleeing police at speeds above 100 miles per hour. The car went down Maple Grove Parkway and Weaver Lake Road before the chase ended in Plymouth. Police took eight juvenile males into custody.
According to Rogers Police Chief Dan Wills, the chase started in his city. They got a call about a home burglary around 8:45 p.m. Shortly afterward, an officer spotted a vehicle that matched the description of a stolen vehicle involved in the crime. When that officer approached the car, a chase started. The pursuit went through Maple Grove and several other cities, at times with speeds topping 100 miles per hour. The chase happened on many roads, including Maple Grove Parkway and Weaver Lake Road. The chase ended in Plymouth.
Wills says eight juveniles were taken into custody.
