Hennepin Tech Takes Annual Plant Sale Online, Curbside
Another sure sign of spring is the Hennepin Technical College annual plant sale.
The plant sale is normally scheduled around Mother’s Day weekend, but this year the plant sale will be a bit different. The sale will be held all online with appointments scheduled for curbside pickup.
To make the buying process easier, sale organizers have grouped plants together.
“Say you have a container on your patio. We have it down to so many plants fit in this box at this price,” explained Deb Kvamme, instructor for the landscaping and greenhouse programs at Hennepin Technical College.
Kvamme says you can check out plant groupings on the plant sale’s website. Like always, the sale includes popular hanging plants, perennials, annuals, and fruits and vegetables.
Money raised during the plant sale goes back into the landscaping and greenhouse programs at the school.

The school accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash during curbside pickup days. Curbside pickup appointments will be assigned during the checkout process at ordering.
Appointments for pickups will begin May 6 and run through May 14.
