HealthPartners Clinic Workers Vote to Strike

A group of HealthPartners clinic nurses and lab technicians has voted to strike in a dispute over health care benefits. The 1,800 employees are part of Service Employees International Union. The strike will begin Feb. 19 and last seven days, unless a deal is reached beforehand.

There is one HealthPartners Clinic in the CCX viewing area, that one is in Brooklyn Center.

The labor dispute does not affect Park Nicollet clinics, which HealthPartners operates.

HealthPartners is the state’s second largest health care system.
