HCSO Displays New Mobile Command Vehicle in Brooklyn Park
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has a new vehicle that will help them on the scene. The Mobile Command Post was delivered March 19th to the Hennepin County Sherrif’s Patrol Headquarters in Brooklyn Park.
The special vehicle will be on hand at large crime scenes, water emergencies, or searches. The vehicle helps officers work in the field. It has a conference room in the front and several work stations too.
“It makes my job a lot easier, having a full capacity office right on site to any major event is incredible,” said deputy Jeremy Evers.
The mobile command center cost around $750,000. Hennepin County officials hope it will last for at least 25 years.
This is one of several items you can check out for yourself during the annual open house on Friday, at the patrol office on 83rd Avenue North in Brooklyn Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
