Golden Valley’s Omnia Fishing Tackles Which Products to Choose
A local fishing tackle business is on a mission to help anglers across the country catch more fish.
Omnia Fishing headquarters is located in Golden Valley. It has a small retail store in Golden Valley, but it’s main store is online.
The online business offers a unique service where anglers can shop by lake.
That means the website will narrow down only relevant fishing tackle needed for the species that’s being targeted. Omnia also takes all kinds of environmental factors to suggest which tackle will be best on the lake of your choice.
Omnia Fishing CEO Matt Johnson said the company serves about 150,000 lakes.
“We put new anglers into the industry but they’re falling out the bottom and its because they’re not having fun and part of it is they’re not catching fish and they’re not going in prepared,” said Johnson. “We’re trying to send people there with confidence.”
Johnson said 85% of anglers shop in store because they have questions. However, Omnia’s chat tool allows you to get answers right online.
Communities are also built around lakes on the Omnia Fishing site.
“We share information and I think this will facilitate that and its going to make it better for everybody,” said Ron Strauss, President of MN Kayak Fishing Association.
Omnia Fishing’s website allows anglers across the country to help each other discover what baits are working. If staff find that the suggestions are beneficial, they’ll reward the consumer for it.
Omnia Fishing launched its business in January. In the next few months, the business is looking to stock between 10,000 and 15,000 products.
