Golden Valley McDonald’s Gives Away Thank You Meals
Front line nurses at the Good Samaritan Society-Ambassador in New Hope received 75 thank you meals from McDonald’s on Tuesday.
Shahab Hyder owns and operates the McDonalds in Golden Valley off of Medicine Lake Rd., as well as 16 other McDonald’s across the metro. Hyder said donating meals is a way to thank the first responders.
“This is a challenging time for all of us,” Hyder said. “If it makes the first responders feel good and have a moment of joy, it gives us the same pleasure.”
Hyder said the thank you meals took only about 20 minutes to assemble. The meals come with different items including double cheeseburgers, hamburgers and nuggets.
The meals were loaded onto a Good Samaritan bus to be delivered to the nurses.
“We want the community to know that we are here for them. We’re open. We’re serving our community the best way we can and we take a lot of pride and pleasure of what we do at McDonald’s,” said Hyder.
