Golden Valley Gives Away 200 Carbon Monoxide, Smoke Alarms
The Golden Valley Fire Department is giving away 200 smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. The department collected the free devices through the Operation Save a Life program. Golden Valley was one of only Minnesota three cities to receive it.
The department plans to donate the alarms to low-income residents, seniors, residents with disabilities, and others in need. Operation Save a Life is expected to give away more than $3 million worth of alarms this year alone.
