Golden Valley based Key Log Rolling at State Fair
Golden Valley based Key Log Rolling Company has been at the Minnesota State Fair for three years and they’re still packing in a huge crowd.
Sarah Beron from Blue Ox Rolling calls Minnesota the Mecca of log rolling.
“There’s a strong history in the state,” said Beron.

But log rolling is tricky. People try to stay on a 65-pound synthetic log that’s filled with water and spinning. Key Log Rolling specializes in these types of logs.
“You fill it up with water, that gives the mass back to it. So it spins, like a western cedar log,” said Key Log Rolling President Abby Delaney.
People At Fair Try Log Rolling
Erika Milhofer wanted to try out log rolling. It didn’t take her long to get the hang of spinning the log. Milhofer says the key was to keep your feet moving.
“I play soccer, so it was kind of easy,” she said.
Key Log Rolling hopes fair goers remember this sport and try it again.
“It’s just a thrilling sport, that people love to watch and they love to compete in,” said Abby Delaney.
If you would like to give log rolling a try, key log rolling is located in the North Woods section of the Fair. It’s on the east side of Cooper Street, between Lee and Randall Avenues.
