Freiberg Wants to Ditch Daylight Saving Time
Rep. Mike Freiberg, DFL-Golden Valley, is one of several lawmakers who wants to move Minnesota to advanced Standard Time, like most of Arizona and Hawaii, year round effective upon authorization by federal law. Essentially, it would keep Daylight Saving Time permanent to avoid the twice-yearly clock shifts. House Speaker Melissa Hortman, DFL-Brooklyn Park, has also signed onto the bill.
