Fore! Golf Season Underway at New Hope Village Course

The New Hope Village Golf Course opened for the season on Monday, April 6. 

Golf Course Superintendent Ricky Plamal said the turnout has been good so far — even on the recent chillier days. The course opened just in time as golf fans embrace this weekend’s Master’s Tournament.

Plamal said the New Hope course is a good place to try out for a wide range of golfers.

“It’s a great par three, nine-hole golf course. It’s challenging for beginners, and can be challenging with some bunkers and some water hazards out there for even the advanced golfers,” Plamal said. “It’s great for just sharpening up your game and getting out to the big courses, if that’s what you want to do.”

He said New Hope Village Golf Course runs leagues for many groups all week long. The public course is open seven days a week, sun up to sundown.
