Hero Plumbing Delivers Fixes, Flowers to Local Customers
For the past two weeks, Hero Plumbing, Heating and Cooling has done more for customers than respond to service calls. Its employees have also delivered flowers.
On Monday, Hero employee Tony Westberry surprised a Crystal resident with a bright yellow bouquet of flowers before repairing her clogged bath tub. This is now part of Westberry’s daily work routine. He delivers approximately eight bouquets a day.
“Bascially I’m going to get out, walk up to the door with the flowers, hand the flowers to the customers and just let them know, ‘thank you for having us out today,’ and then go on about my regular service call,” said Westberry.
The recipients are always caught off guard by the flowers.
“Most definitely,” Westberry said. “It puts a smile on people’s face. In this time it’s always great to spread cheer around.”
Power of Flowers
The bouquets create joy for people, which is a good thing in this difficult period, said Westberry.
“Big smiles,” Westberry said. “Unless you’re a husband who hasn’t bought his wife flowers in awhile.”
The flowers are Hero’s way of thanking people for their business.
“It is a bizarre time,” Westberry said. “It’s always good to put a smile on somebody’s face. Especially when they are having a backup and you come up to the door with these [flowers].”
Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, Hero remains in business and is responding to service calls.
“We’ve still been busy,” Westbury said. “Other than that, it’s just great to provide service for people that need it and help them out any way we can.”
