Fernbrook Fields Open in Maple Grove
Maple Grove has opened a new state-of-the-art facility. The Fernbrook Fields Athletic Complex is up and running.
The complex has four fields for football, lacrosse and soccer. The artificial playing surface is a layered system of sand, cryogenic rubber and composed cork. Those components will actually provide a 20-degree reduction in surface temperature.
The Fernbrook Fields are the first in the Midwest to use this type of system.
The facility is located across the street from Maple Grove High School.
