Farm Fresh Fest Kicks off at CEAP
Fresh in-season vegetables and more are ripe for the picking at CEAP in Brooklyn Center during Farm Fresh Fest. For the fourth year, the Brooklyn Center nonprofit creates a farmers market atmosphere for clients to pick up fresh produce.
“We go every other Friday from July to November,” explains Kalleah Kennedy, from CEAP. “It is the way to celebrate our community in the summer and in the harvest season through fresh produce, community partnerships, kids activities, music and good times.”
The free farmers’ market event provides locally grown produce to nearly 200 households.
The event runs every other Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
