FAIR Crystal Students Work to Change Behavior
Students at FAIR School Crystal are taking steps to change their school climate. Students, parents and school staff held a summit to talk about topics like mental health, bullying and social media.
“Today you’ll hear a lot about bullying because that’s what people are talking about in today’s society,” said principal Zoraba Ross. “You’ll also hear about mental health.”
Students led the way with discussion and problem solving. Principal Ross was very pleased with the turnout from students and families.
What is the Summit?
The topic of the Summit is student safety and creating a culture of dignity. Student and family attendees had an opportunity to ask questions and offer suggestions for improving school climate. Student leaders participated in a panel discussion about the current trends in the school’s climate. A national personal empowerment speaker, Mr. George Montgomery II moderated the Summit.
