Election Judges Needed in Brooklyn Center
Brooklyn Center is looking for volunteers to be election judges. The city needs 10 to 20 election judges for the general election this November. That’s on top of the 58 they already have. Anyone who’s a U.S. citizen and over 18 can sign up. Hennepin County officials say bilingual judges are especially helpful.
Brooklyn Center City Clerk Barb Suciu says it’s important for people to volunteer.
“The right to vote is something that some people take for granted and having competent staff there to help everyone who comes in is a wonderful thing for the city,” said Suciu.
How to volunteer
To volunteer, call the Brooklyn Center city clerk office at (763) 569-3306 for an application packet or just stop by city hall.
