Don’t Be Blue: Plymouth Church Makes Blues Fundraiser Virtual
Mount Olivet Church in Plymouth usually hosts a summertime food and music festival called Blues Brews N BBQs.
But not this year.
“We’re not going to gather in person due to COVID. But we are still having our event. We’re still going to have great blues music. It’s going to be livestreamed from our Facebook page,” said Angela Gritton from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Miss Myra and The Moonshiners will perform a two-hour set from the church. It will allow people to enjoy the band’s music at their own backyard party at home.
“MOPly Church is our Facebook page and we’re going to be live right from there from 6-8 p.m on Saturday,” said Gritton.
This year Blues Brews N BBQs is raising money for Loaves and Fishes. PRISM food shelf is also a beneficiary. While the livestreamed event is free, the church suggests giving a monetary donation.
