Dirkers, Greenberg Advance in Robbinsdale Ward 2 Primary Election
Voters in Robbinsdale narrowed the field of candidates on Tuesday for a city council special election.
Candidates David Dirkers and Jason Greenberg won Tuesday’s special primary and will appear on the special election ballot.
Dirkers received 44.65 percent of the votes cast, or 142 votes, and Greenberg received 26.73 percent, or 85 votes.
Meanwhile, Kyle Bille took third with 19.5 percent of the vote, or 62 votes, and Christopher James Rasmussen trailed in fourth with 9.12 percent, or 29 votes.
Candidate Marc Akerlind received zero votes.
Now, Dirkers and Greenberg will advance to Aug. 13 special election. They’re aiming to fill the seat previously occupied by Sheila Webb, who resigned from the council last October.
