Crystal Student is Mayor for a Day
Crystal fifth grader Brayden Banks is one of three statewide winners in the League of Minnesota Cities’ “Mayor for a Day” essay contest. He placed out of more than 450 Minnesota fourth, fifth and sixth graders who submitted essays online and at the Minnesota State Fair. As a reward, he got to run part of the last Crystal City Council meeting.
In Banks’ essay, he wrote about encouraging police officers to get out of their cars and talk more with kids.
If Brayden’s name sounds familiar, it should. Brayden is the son of Crystal’s newest city council member, Brendan Banks.
