Crystal Mural Painted for Saturday’s “Art on the Strip”
The public is invited to channel his or her inner artist at “Art on the Strip” in Crystal on Saturday. Local artist Shawn McCann created a mural for the day-long art event. You can see the mural on the building wall facing the city parking lot at Bass Lake Road and Elmhurst Avenue.
But the event is happening Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s in the parking lot at Bass Lake Road at Sherburne Avenue.
“It’s going to be all sorts of different artisans that are going to be having activities going on,” explained McCann. “I’m going to be doing some chalk art with the community.”
McCann created chalk-art masterpieces for local events at Maple Grove’s Chalkfest.
Art on the Strip is a collaboration between Cultivate Bottineau, Springboard for the Arts, the City of Crystal and Hennepin County.
