Crystal Landscape Business Launches Dry Steam Cleaning
COVID-19 has impacted a lot of businesses, causing lost productivity and profits. But one Crystal business has figured out a way to help other businesses, while expanding its offerings. In addition to commercial grounds-keeping, Prescription Landscape now offers external sanitization services, called RXClean360, to businesses.
Using a combination of dry steam cleaning and electrolyzed salt water, the company will clean anything from vehicles and equipment to railings, door handles, and keypads.
Dry steam has less water in it than normal steam. That means it’s safe for electrical devices like door entry keypads. And electrolyzing saltwater produces the disinfectant hypochlorous acid from the chlorine in the salt. Prescription Landscape officials say that disinfectant works to kill bacteria and viruses, including the one that causes COVID-19, without being dangerous to people.
Best of all for the company, they can make the disinfectant themselves by pouring water and a little salt into a special machine.
“It’s not bleach, it’s not your Chlorox wipes and that type of thing,” says COO Tom Houngnon. “It’s a product that we can manufacture, and it’s very safe.”
Hougnon adds the new sanitization service has generated a lot of interest from Prescription Landscape’s clients.
