Crystal Family Creates Light Extravaganza
A Crystal family is helping to make the holidays bright this season.
It’s the first time Jeff Kolb and his family went all out with a holiday lights display. Kolb says he did it for his young children because they really enjoy Christmas lights. They started collecting lights and ornaments a few years ago. There are more than 7000 lights synchronized to music on 81.1 FM. A lot of effort and energy went into constructing the 30-minute elaborate display.
“There was a lot of time where we had parts of the display set up in the basement. We had Christmas trees in the basement for several months as we were kind of working out where we wanted to put lights and how many we wanted to put where,” explained Kolb.
You can see the show at 6404 38th Avenue North in Crystal. The event runs from 5-10 p.m. through Jan. 3.
