Crystal Couple Takes PuzzleTwist to State Fair
A Crystal couple is creating a lot of buzz at the Minnesota State Fair. PuzzleTwist is a new vendor this year and is located in the Merchandise Mart.
On the first day, Candace Nelson and her sales crew were busy trying to keep up with the demand for their unique and unpredictable jigsaw puzzles.
“This is crazy, crazy. We had no idea what to expect,” said Nelson as she surveyed the crowd.
PuzzleTwist is not your typical puzzle. That’s because the image on the box is slightly different from the puzzle you put together.
The unknown factor also makes things more challenging, but it’s not the goal.
“Our intent is to make you smile and go, aww, that’s what that is,” said Nelson.
PuzzleTwist currently has more than 50 puzzles to choose from, including two that are only available at the Minnesota State Fair.
The puzzles are renditions of pictures or paintings by many talented local artists, including work by Robbinsdale artist John Roy. His puzzle is called Roadside Americana.
Fairgoers say they can’t wait to go home to start putting the puzzles together.
“They’re so much fun because you never know how different it is from the cover to the actual puzzle,” said one customer.
