Crystal Author Earns Accolades for Healing Doll Book
Barb Kobe, who lives in Crystal, wrote a book called “The Healing Doll Way.” She says it started out as an assignment in class.
“I wrote the paper and the teacher gave it back to me and said this would be a book someday,” said Barb Kobe. “That was 20 years ago.”
She published the book in August of 2018. Recently the book won accolades from the Independent Book Publishers Professionals Group. The group named the book one of the best Indie Books of 2019.
Kobe exhibited her healing dolls at a show at the Robbin Gallery earlier this year. She has a story about her dolls and feels motivated to tell others about them.
“It was just a huge motivation,” said Kobe. “I was driven to keep doing it and keep making the dolls.”
