Courage Kenny’s Art of Possibilities Show Runs Through May 14
It’s a show that proves creativity knows no barriers. Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Art of Possibilities show and sale features works by artists with disabilities. The 57th annual show is underway and will be held virtually through May 14.
The show this year features 240 works. All the work is vetted to make sure the art is of quality and done by the original artists.
“All of the work is very well done. It’s high quality art,” said Maddie Mainwood, a University of Minnesota arts history student who helped put the show together.
“Our purpose is to create a space where artists living with disabilities have a place to shine.”
The show includes awards for various art categories, as well as a best overall.
Show Benefits Artists, Courage Kenny
And just in case you see something you can’t live without, everything in the show is for sale with 75 percent of the proceeds going to the artist.
“They are the ones setting the price. Then 25 percent comes back to Courage Kenny and the Art of Possibilities Art Show. Our goal is to sell them all,” said Mainwood.
The virtual Art of Possibilities show includes commentary interviews from some of the artists.
