Construction Almost Complete at Champlin Park High School
A new school year at Champlin Park High School brings with it a new look. The portable classrooms used for years at the school are now gone. In their place are new classrooms and new amenities.
The major construction project that began last October is almost complete. The only thing left to finish up is landscaping.
Extra Classroom Space
The renovations at Champlin Park High School provided extra classroom space, cafeteria improvements and a shiny new fitness room. The exercise area will benefit Rebel athletes and students and has plenty of equipment and natural light.
Teachers say these upgrades are uplifting for staff and students.
“Every time our kids see something that looks new, or looks clean, they feel really good about it,” said Champlin Park High School Principal Michael George. “I had some students I took around on a tour this morning before school. They were really excited about what our school looks like in terms of how it represents and how it will represent the community.”
The school improvements are part of a safety, security and space focus at Champlin Park made possible by a recent voter referendum.
