Community Action Partnership Expects Spike in Heating Bill Assistance Requests
The nonprofit Community Action Partnership participated in the Spooktacular celebration in Brooklyn Park this weekend to let people know to expect higher heating bills this winter.
“Winter’s coming and with it is going to be a shock for our clients because a lot of them probably don’t know about the 54 percent increase in fuel prices and they are going to be really, really surprised when they open that bill,” said Tammy Stauffer, with Community Action Partnership.
Community Action Partnership provides services and programs for low-income families. One program helps people pay energy bills.
