Coats for Kids Sets Higher Goal for 2019
Coats for Kids collects new and lightly used coats each fall to give to people in need. The program, run by Pilgrim Dry Cleaners, usually tries to get 10,000 coats. But this year, they say the need is greater. That’s why they’re shooting for 14,000.
“We see the need in our communities every day,” says Pilgrim’s Keona Tranby. “And the winter. It’s a really harsh winter for people that don’t have what they need. And especially kids.”
You can drop coats off at any Pilgrim location. If you don’t have a coat to give away but still want to help Coats for Kids, you can donate money. Send checks to Pilgrim Dry Cleaners, 3217 85th Ave N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55443. The donation deadline is October 12.
