Champlin Police Search for Missing Gumball Machine
Champlin Police are still looking for the thieves who stole a large gumball machine from a local restaurant.
The machine stands about 4 feet tall and is fairly heavy.
Police say it was taken a month ago from the Enjoy China restaurant, just across the Brooklyn Park border.
Workers were in the back when it was stolen between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
“The value of machine is a couple hundred dollars and then some change inside it, but it’s more of the fact that somebody went in front of the restaurant and stole the gumball machine than it is the financial loss and we just think somebody knows who did that. We just hope they let us know,” said Champlin Police Chief Ty Schmidt.
Police call it a rare case. Unfortunately, there’s no good surveillance video of the theft.
