Chalkfest Maple Grove Returns June 8-9 with 50-plus Artists
Main Street in Maple Grove becomes a colorful place as Chalkfest returns for its ninth year.
More than 50 local, national and international chalk artists are expected to showcase their work Saturday and Sunday.
Maple Grove chalk artist Katie Crawford says she tries to make bold art that people will know and enjoy.
“I love doing things that are recognizable to people– things they can connect to from childhood,” said Crawford.
Besides chalk art, there is a new Kids Zone filled fun activities and a new Chalk Art Zone for families and kids to try chalking. Food trucks and live music are also on hand for the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
