CEAP Offers Farm Fresh Produce By Drive Through
The CEAP Food Shelf is conducting its Farm Fresh produce program in a drive-through format this summer due to the pandemic. In the past, CEAP has run the event like an open air Farmers Market. The Brooklyn Center-based nonprofit expects to serve 200 families each week.
“The event is so important to be physically in community because I think a lot of our neighbors have missed that face-to-face connection,” said Kalleah Kennedy, CEAP’s director of mission advancement. “I think one of the biggest things for our community is consistency. We are here every Wednesday. We are providing this produce and regardless of religion, income, transportation issues, we make it happen for people.”
This is CEAP’s fifth year for the program.
You do have to register in advance for the Farm Fresh program, which you can do on CEAP’s website.
