CEAP kicks off Operation Gratitude
Beginning November 3, CEAP is asking people to show thankfulness by giving to others through Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is a community-wide food drive that runs from November 3 to the 17th. Community members are encouraged to donate food and funds at participating grocery stores.
CEAP will accept donations of food and money and have bins placed in local grocery stories and churches. You can also donate at CEAP’s Brooklyn Center facility. They hopes to reach a goal of $250,000 worth of donations.
If you wish, you can stretch your donation by donating cash. For every dollar you donate, the nonprofit can purchase eight dollars worth of food.
“CEAP has wonderful bulk buying power with our partners and so we’re able to really stretch that donation,” says Rachel Hickok from CEAP.
Operation Gratitude will also be going on during Give to the Max Day on November 15.
