Brooklyn Park Seeks 2019 Ambassadors
With summer parade season just around the corner, Brooklyn Park is now accepting applications for its Ambassadors program.
Ambassadors represent the city for an entire year.
“We learn about our city’s history, what’s going on presently in our city, and we also are looking for what are the goals for our city’s future and how can we help attain those goals,” said Terri Edstrom, Ambassador program coordinator.
This year there is also a revival of the Junior Ambassadors program.
Mandi White, a former Brooklyn Park Ambassador, now coordinates the Juniors program.
“I’m super excited because we’re bringing back our Juniors program,” said White. “We are looking for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 10 to go out and represent our community with the new, older girls.”
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 17. You can find more information on the Brooklyn Park Ambassadors Facebook page.
