Brooklyn Park Police: Suspect Shot at Officers in Walmart Parking Lot
Brooklyn Park police shot and injured a suspect who they say initially fired shots at officers.
Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Walmart parking lot just before noon Monday. Police say they initiated contact with the suspect in the parking lot and a confrontation ensued. The suspect then began to run away while shooting at officers, police said. Officers returned fire, striking the suspect.
The suspect was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has taken over the investigation.
