Brooklyn Park Police Investigate Christmas Eve Carjacking
Brooklyn Park police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the morning hours of Dec. 24.
Police say they were dispatched at 8:44 a.m. to a report of a carjacking in the 1600 block of 73rd Avenue North.
According to police, a single male suspect approached the victim as they were loading property into their vehicle.
The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys and other personal property.
The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Brooklyn Park police as well as officers from surrounding agencies attempted to find the suspect. They were unsuccessful.
The incident remains under investigation.
