UPDATE: Brooklyn Park Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect With Help From Public
Brooklyn Park police have arrested a man suspected of nearly stabbing another man to death.
According to a press release, officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing in the 5800 block of Brookdale Drive at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 15.
Officers found a man with multiple life-threatening stab wounds.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Security camera footage shows a man suspected by police to have nearly stabbed a man to death on Monday.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit found images of the suspect on security cameras at a nearby strip mall.
The department released those photos on Sept. 17, asking for the public to help identify the man.
“The response was overwhelming, with numerous tips received in a short period of time,” wrote a police spokesperson in a press release.
Police executed a search warrant and arrested the suspect on Friday morning. He’s being held in the Brooklyn Park jail.
