Brooklyn Park Man Honored for Stopping Robbery
Police credit a Brooklyn park man for stepping in and helping an elderly woman as she was being robbed.
Barry Jensen heard the elderly victim yell for help as he was mowing the lawn last August. Jensen chased after the robber and caught him. The robber broke free, but another citizen stepped in to help detain the robber before police arrived.
Police honored Jensen Monday night. According to police, the suspect committed a similar robbery five days earlier. The suspect, who police say is juvenile, has been charged with both robberies.
